Read Bleach

Bleach is a Japanese anime television series based on Tite Kubo’s original manga series of the same name. Studio Pierrot produced it, and Noriyuki Abe directed it. The 366-episode series aired on TV Tokyo from October 2004 to March 2012. The plot follows Ichigo Kurosaki’s exploits after he gains the powers of a Soul Reaper (a death personification similar to the Grim Reaper) from another Soul Reaper, Rukia Kuchiki.

Ichigo Kurosaki has always had the ability to see ghosts, but it is his encounter with Rukia Kuchiki, a Soul Reaper and member of the Mysterious Soul Society, that changes his life the most. When fighting a Hollow, an evil spirit that preys on humans who exhibit psychic energy, Rukia tries to lend Ichigo some of her powers so that he can save his family; instead, Ichigo absorbs every last drop of her energy, much to her surprise. Being a full-fledged Soul Reaper, Ichigo quickly learns that the world he inhabits is full with dangerous spirits, and it is Ichigo’s job, along with Rukia—who is slowly regaining her powers—to protect the innocent from hollows and assist the spirits themselves in finding their way.
